The science holes were just too big to really enjoy this, although characterization and acting were excellent. I loved the people, but the increasing improbability of plot points took me out of the flow way too often, the biggest one being that It’s impossible that the asteroid would have remained secret—there is a well established network of hundreds of amateurs scanning the sky for just such an anomaly. The casual disregard for orbital mechanics when they didn’t fit the plot. Secretly launching an interplanetary probe with a staff of three. A mysterious hacker group of teenagers with seemingly supernatural cybernetic powers. And so forth. Just too much belief to suspend to let the good qualities overcome the bad.
