The show suffers from surprisingly poor writing, with most scenes featuring substantial plot holes and/or logical inconsistencies. The VFX also take an unexpected step back from the high level set in The Mandalorian. The acting from Ewan McGregor is definitely a standout and serves to progress the character but cannot save a premise that is fundamentally flawed. Ultimately, the show never manages to justify its own existence.

If you want to watch depressed superheroes applying for loans and discussing their emotions with a counsellor then this show is for you. For everyone else... don't bother.

The film is extremely rushed, whizzing through plot points at breakneck speed and never giving scenes time to breathe. None of the character moments come across as sincere and there is little of the classic humour that even the prequels managed. The entire movie comes across as misguided fan fiction. At least The Last Jedi had a creative vision, even if it was a misguided one. This movie just plays everything safe. The most telling thing was the reaction of cinema goers leaving after the midnight premiere - there was very little chatter or excitement. This has replaced Solo as my least favourite Star Wars movie.
