I watched Misaeng twice several years in between. I admire the reality in it. Okay, I am an American who gets aghast to verbal and physical attacks at workplace. But I thought, these behaviors are cultural among Koreans in the workplace. Those who are low and lower in ranks, they don't fight back at least by words. They do not have the power to state reasons. Also but most important, I see that education, higher it is, is reckoned as good but in a workplace it is not. These newbies struggled to rely on their education for recognition except Jang Gu-rae. This drama is a great watch to all striving to rise above, but can't easily do it.
