The Last Jedi is a copy cat of episode 5, much like The Force Awakens with episode 4, except this time its in reverse! Exciting. The logic and actions of the characters in the movie are sporadic and frustrating with many of them operating at the same mental abilities of a new born child. I expect it easier to follow and more logical to indeed watch episode 5 backwards, as I expect the incoherent tongues and acting of a young reversed Mark Hamill likely easier to stomach and more impactful.
The Last Jedi also impressively manages to ruin the plot of the past movies. Something not even the likes of Jar Jar Binks was able to accomplish.
It's good to have a strong female character, but she has to be an actual person with flaws, character, and feasible ways to relate too. Instead they made Jesus Christ of Nazareth 2.0 who has no flaws and is somehow able to keep up with the son of the person immaculately concepted by the force without any training or hard work.
The Last Jedi only has good messages to send to its viewers such as: Some people are naturally better than you no matter how hard you work or how much effort you put in, sacrificing yourself to save the lives of thousands is a bad thing, and that you can make a billion dollars by writing terrible plot and blowing the rest of the time and money on expensive visual effects to distract the people from the fact that you are ruining the childhoods of hundreds of thousands of loyal fans.
Finally the philosophy and argument that the fanbase should be ignored in the newer movies is equivalent to saying that an elected official, once elected, shouldn't care about the people that voted and got them into office and should instead act based on their own personal interest. The fans funded the franchise by buying merchandise and watching the 6 other movies in the series, and are the only reason there even is a new trilogy. Maybe you should treat them with the respect the deserve?
