At the beginning of the film it seems to have an interesting premise And that is investigative reporting in regards to the death of presidential hopeful Mr Forest,With the reporting being done by the character played by Spencer Tracy. Katharine Hepburn in one of the worst performances I've ever seen plays Mrs forest.Her character shrouded in darkness and mystery and grimacing.Spencer Tracy mumbles a bunch of useless dialogue opposite more useless dialogue by Katharine Hepburn. The sets seem to be reprised backdrops from Gone With the Wind as the mansions are furnished to the hilt in Victorian and fine antiques. It's a disgusting show of wealth and privileged living. I think the movie could have been cut in half if the useless dialogue by all characters and contrived situations were left on The Cutting Room floor. The ending of the movie is so bad and so unrealistic and implausible, you would have to watch it as seeing is not believing. Watch it and form your own opinion
