Ultimately the book takes away from the biblical text. My son started reading it and when we discussed it, the quotes were wrong and the stories don't align with the biblical text. He quotes things that the characters say, however the characters never said the things he quotes. There are far better Christian texts that align with the biblical text without embellishments. It was great that we were able to discuss the comparison and I could read the stories accurately from the Bible, 3 stars for that. However I would not recommend this as a teaching tool for others children.also want to add that the Bible warns about adding to it or taking away from it. Shocked at how many people look past that truth.
