The series is a very realistic depiction of the life of the early Islamic rulers of India who travelled all the way to find a new abode in Hindustan and establish an empire here which later transformed into one of the most famous dynasties the Mughals. Babur himself traced his descendency to both chengiz khan and Timur, and was one of the great warrior of his time, and also a passionate garden maker. But more so the the series deserves appreciation for its wonderful picturisation of the character of Babur's aunt 'KHANZADA' the padshah begum, whom we rarely know about.she is depicted having a heroic character and intellectual, and had made great sacrifices for the building of the so called majesty of Babur, about which we history rarely speaks.
