At points I felt like I was watching a movie, and at others I felt I was watching a script reading, especially when they were both in his living room. I just feel like the characters either didn't have enough emotional depth, or the people he was writing about were so shallow that I just hated both of them, to an extent. Also I hate singing in movies- so I thought his singing part went way too long.
Somehow it didnt reflect poorly that he cut himself? That wasn't too believeable.
Overall I think this movie is generally harmful. Most of my female friends LOSE custody because the courts are biased towards favoring men, so if the man wants custody at all, he usually gets more or all custody- which the movie doesn't even hint at here. I think the director should have done more research as to how the court systems actually play out for working class people.
