The movie was OKAY. I personally did not know much (hardly anything) about Napoleon going into it, but I was expecting to be inspired like I usually am with these types of movies, get goosebumps, maybe even shed a tear. but none of that happened. I barely felt any emotion throughout the whole thing.
I also wasn’t expecting it to be so focused on him and Josephine’s romance, I understand that she was a big part of his life but I wanted it to be more focused on him, his mindset, and his successes; I didn’t watch this movie for romance.
I also did find it a bit strange that they included the number of deaths from each battle at the end of the movie.
However, I did really enjoy the battle scenes, they did really well with the cinematography, especially the winter battle. I thought many of the scenes were beautiful and I loved the whole ambience of the movie. It transported me to that time period which was very cool, but the movie did fall a little flat.
