Worst of all the Far Cry games.
It forces you to make a Ubisoft account for an offline game, just to sell you stuff. You can’t even get into the game unless you create an account to be harassed by their ads to buy stuff from the store.
The game lags a lot, which is weird because it’s an offline game, I will see frame rate drops when there’s dialogue via phones, which makes no sense because my PC is top of the line and handles for more intense games than this with no drops.
The intro and starting island is so long, it’s a really long winded tutorial just to get all your weapons, that you already know how to use because it’s the same as the other games.
You can basically be playing on God mode by just grabbing a tank and driving around. This is how I played 90% of the game. In a tank, driving point to point, killing everything in my way. I did this because otherwise it’s just a travel simulator with a bit of fighting in between. Your cars will get blown up, your horses killed.
The AI is just stupid. Every battle I can just walk up to soldiers that are looking at me, and melee them. They don’t even shoot. It’s like they’ll shoot from afar, but when you rush them they freeze. Charging straight in seems to be the best strategy if playing on foot because half the enemies will just freeze and stand still to let you kill then.
Storyline was obvious start to finish. Dictator doing evil things, overthrow the dictator. No twists, nothing profound, probably some fantasy of whatever left wing writers wrote this cliched allegory.
