Despite the criticism that this show gets, it is undoubtedly one of the most impressive on Netflix. The animation quality is amazing and color choice is visually pleasing as well. The first seasons seemed to flow nicely and made me want to watch more. On the contrary, the plot grew scattered near seasons 7 and 8 due to a frantic attempt to wrap up the show I assume. The plot itself and lack of focus are flaws of the show, but I believe the character development makes up for that. Overall, I would rate this show 8/10 stars. [ SPOILER WARNING ] One thing I disliked about the show was how the producers got you attached to the characters and their relationships with each other and then proceeded to kill them off. Of course this is no shocker, but I think some deaths just weren't necessary such as the death of Adam and that of Allura. Lance did not really get a happy ending like the others because of his loss. You can tell that he still misses Allura, and although that is inevitable, it is still depressing. Also, the characters personalities seemed saturated and dull in the end of the show. Lance had lost his humor, and Pidge seemed less energetic. Overall this is a great show, and I would recommend for its beautiful animation, character development, incorporation of different sexualities, and lastly, its eloquence.
