I am not a big fan of Hindi movies as most movies always have a romantic angle to the same old girl boy thing which the audience seems to prefer. Having said that however, there are occasionally those odd ball movies which are different either addressing a social subject or inspirational or a completely different kind and these I like. This is one such movie.
I had not seen the reviews neither the original movie Mirage and just happened to watch it basis of the categories this fell in. As the story unfold I must say it got me intrigued, while I did catch the main theme to be about parallel universes or as Dr. Strange and Spider-Man would say the multi-verse. It still kept me involved with the thrill and the seamless picturisation of 2 stories running in parallel one in 96 and another in 21.
However, things could have been done better in terms of the story telling, or importantly the reason for this whole story to develop the electric storm which I felt lacking; Explaining the fundamental of why is this happening, the electrical storm and could have triggered the communication in someway.
They could show, the child who dedicated so many years to finding that lady could have also spent some time research what happened as after all he was interested in space and universe, so to explain his theory (explained by the character Abhishek). Maybe not in 96 but as he grew older and we progressed from dial up to broadband and the advent of msn and google.
Overall I still enjoyed the film and the reason for 4 stars is as what I shared my opinion. Judging by the overall review it appears that majority of the Indian crowd is not yet ready for such deep scientific intellectual movie where you need to use some of your cerebrum 😝.
