I'm note to sure why people are hating on this show, yes it's not on the same level as more recent Rugby Docs like Chasing the Sun etc but I enjoy it quite a bit. Now that is not saying much considering I would happily watch an hour of scum video having the time of my life. 😄
My Dad who doesn't really watch Rugby, like at all, doesn't know the laws or anything and thinks that the All Blacks are the only good team out there. He sat down with me on my second viewing (told you I enjoy the show) and watched the show at the end of the series he was asking when does the Six nations for 2024 start as he is keen to watch it.
Having said all this there are a few negatives:
To really enjoy this show you must have some knowledge of some of the laws, ways the teams can score etc.
You also need to know the format of the competition ie what is a grand slam, what is a wooden spoon, how can a team who has previously lost still become champions if they only play each other once etc (these where some of the questions my dad had and if I was not there I imagine it might of put him off from watching the show further)
A negative from my point of view: I think the show should lean in heavily it to the individual characters with in the team.
In summary this is good show, with a few issues which prevents it from being a great show. If they can fix some of these issues I'm sure it will be a classic in the making.
