this is purley revolting. i hope rudyard is resting peacefully in the fiery depths of hell. if i could give it negative stars i would.

It's kind of boring and really anticlimactic. The writer tries to be really deep and write super intricately. It's painful to read. I was cringing the whole time. The title doesn't have anything to do with the book. The title should probably be "Lake Read". We needed either more or less of Pete. I didn't really like her. I also found the main character really annoying. The character development was great though. The ending was super abrupt and kind of just happened really fast. The plot of the book was just okay, it was honestly kind of niche. Though, I did like the enemies to lovers. The book honestly didn't have to be that long. It could have been two hundred pages and it could have told the same exact story. The "slow burn" was not done very well. I got really bored while I was reading this book. It is so overhyped and overrated. Don't waste your time or money. If you want to read it borrow it from the library. It's just so boring. This author is super cute but maybe she should try a different career out. I don't understand how she has so much hype over her books. Anyways have a nice day!

This book sucks. If I could give it no stars I would. No offense. It literally takes 100 pages for the main characters to meet, but in that time absolutely nothing happens. I didn't learn anything about the characters either. I couldn't even tell you the characters' names tbh.
