Haven’t read the book or did any research just one question and the Dr may have addressed this. As I’m awaiting bypass surgery genetics is the one explanation that I hear from other Drs. My father and his father both had heart disease. Make no mistake diet plays a huge role and I don’t consider myself a huge health nut but on the same note I don’t indulge 24/7 in bad foods. I’m in decent shape for a 60 yr old and been told several times I don’t look that old. I don’t partake in tobacco and just a weekend warrior as I call it far as alcohol and usually just beer. I now have 4-5 arteries blocked 2-99% others partially… a friend recommended this book and claims it helped him. I believe strongly a good diet plays a huge part in our lives, and most things in moderation as I do, but genetics plays a huge maybe bigger part in heart disease.
