A particular angle that's regurgitated, echoing through the peak of that 2009 horror/thriller, shoved down Vera Farmiga's Katherine Coleman's throat, offering an explosive narrative that'll have you at the edge of your seat! That droning hum from Interpol as they parade the parent and spawn: "...You're shackled to me, Through the aging, the dread, the chaos... Hold up, what a damn smirk..." - An echo adding discord to the tale, an unexpected twist that'll blow your mind! Julia Stiles, playing buddy to Operation Treadstone alongside Jason Bourne, casts a spell with a damn performance, entwined with her son Gunnar Albright's 'knife dance,' an enthralling act that'll leave you awestruck! A mishmash pulled from the original, twisted into a convoluted mess... Still, a damn power play! Although not as good as the original Beast (1989), this movie still blew my emotions away. Ibris Eldra and his supporting cast perform exceptionally well. The dialogue, although slow at times, was exceptional, although what truly blew me away was the gore sequences. Few movies focus on the gore quality. I was quite taken aback by the writer's choice to kill the matriach figure in the first act, but it made for quite a satisfying redemption arc. Overall I have to say I was not pleased by the quality & quantity of the gore sequences. I would advise in the future to produce more immersive tearing and ripping scenes. Because of this, I have to give this movie a 0/100, only in hopes the director will see this message and hopefully remaster this movie sometime in the near future with more graphic and violent scenes. It's disappointing the writer's chose not to capitalize on the clear sexual tension between the Lion and Idris Elba. One thing I was not pleased with was the Lion's ambiguous motivations for killing the poachers. Although clearly intelligent, the lion's actions seemed random and inconsistent with his character as a whole. Although the movie is shot primarily though the Lion's viewpoint, it would have been interesting to see Dr. Elba's perspective as well. Although overall I'd rate this a 33/100, the lack of gore and the absence of ripping sounds left me sensually confused.
