We were avid fans of this series and after watching seasons 1 through 5 on Netflix bought a subscription to Acorn TV in order to watch the 6th season of our favorite show. However, gay and lesbian themes now dominate almost every story line. In fact, with the exception of Sarah and George, the relationship of every couple is now gay/lesbian driven. The writers of season 6 should have taken to heart the old adage "less is more." Did they just run out of fresh ideas? The other wonderful characters that played such prominent roles in seasons 1 through 5 have been relegated to occasional token scenes. Our advice to those of you just beginning to watch this series is to skip season 6. 😕
