Honestly, I like it better than the original.
The characters are so much less superficial and have a lot more depth to them (no pun intended). The special effects were pretty good and Halle Bailey is a great singer.
My only complaint is the casting of Vanessa cause she looked like a brunette Ariel in the original version of the movie but she doesn't really look like Ariel in this one. Other than that it's great. 11/1O.
