Brilliant movie that left me feeling emotionally overwhelmed but so pleased the story has been told. It's the best movie I've seen in a long time.

Mind-blowing acting and superb directing. Joaquin Phoenix definitely should be given an Oscar for this one too. A visionary journey into the mind of a severely damaged psychotic. What he did earlier with the murders was exhaulted in Girl with the DragonTattoo. Here the anti-hero is constantly victimised. You can't help but deeply feeling for him as well as being terrified by what he might suddenly do. The movie shows great pathos, and exposes the hangers on that are the real psychopaths in this story. Arthur Fleck is brought to life through a fully exposed journey into his tortured mind, so revealing through his fantasies which he slides into and out of with ease. It was riveting from beginning to end. A truly outstanding movie. I can't wait to see it again.

I expected sillyness and fun and it was there but what I didn't expect was a bold and brave deconstruction of modern times which it absolutely delivered on. This movie is amazing. It will get knocked and brought down I'm sure but I saw Oppenheimer as well which is overtly political and Barbie is just as much but more in sync with the zeitgeist of the privileged world. Exceptionally well critiquing of sexual politics. Both the Barbie and the Ken roles played this out with great energy. I just loved it. This is the movie that will be a pop culture movie for years to come.

OK so Michelle Williams was good, but the film was pointless. Two and a half hours. I love movies but after watching this I felt making movies was drudgery. I'm sure it could have been cut and directed to be so much more by being less monotonous and insular. Ironic.

Wow. Blow away. Totally amazing performance and awesome movie. I'm a psychologist and I believe the profiling is so in-depth and full of integrity. Joaquin Phoenix if you don't get the Oscar then Hollywood is just blind.
