Getting sick of yet another remake of the Grinch? Personally if I saw another Grinch remake I was going to scream in the middle of the street.....ENOUGH!!!!!! This movie is a delight to the senses. Colorful imagery and unique wardrobes and hairstyles. Madelen Mills is fantastic and Forest Whitaker is believable. I loved everything about this movie.It’s fun, inspiring, magical and heartwarming and perhaps best of all..... Original. I love the diversity of characters, mostly black but not in a shove it in your face kind of way, just simply a great cast that happens to be mostly black. Made me feel so good about that, as it was just normal and natural to see such beauty on the screen. I loved that the setting was in a “Charles Dickens” type era, reminiscent of A Christmas Carol , yet with modern dance sequences and modern music. For me, Possibly one of the best modern era Christmas movies that I have ever seen. Definitely a new family favorite for me. Glad I watched, don’t miss it!!!!
