Decent quasi-scifi satire which in a comedically ironic way paints a sometimes bleak yet also very poignant picture of the current socioeconomic position of Black America with a scathing yet funny counterpoint about how White America, The ubiquitous Man, and Big Government use Black America to make them richer and/or appease their ravenous desires for entertainment. Throw in a lot of clever pop culture references, a nice, cohesive theme throughout it's production design, often reminiscent of classic 70's blaxploitation cinema with a carefully crafted touch of chiaroscuro within the lighting and cinematography, I find that this film evokes an enjoyable, timely, and prescient reaction that leaves one surprisingly satisfied, entertained, but also philosophically and intellectually intrigued.
