I never would have thought this could be re done. But Spielberg proved me wrong. I’ve already watched it 3 times and find myself scrolling thru the movie to get to my favorite songs; tonight both scenes, Maria, i have a love with Maria and Anita had me crying my eyes out. That scene just gets me. The music. I loved it. These young people and the sets captured the 50’s in Brooklyn like I’ve seen in the old movies but actually looks believable. Riff was great, I dig that guy. Anita. wow. Perfection. Maria what a beauty and a songbird. Thank you for bringing this movie back. I loved Natalie wood, but the new Maria has officially taken her place. And she actually sings it! Apologies for not referencing actor names.. I’m 64 old female.
