I'd recommend being wary of the reviews hinging on a political agenda, or those made by folks who confuse fantasy for historical fiction- also be wary of reviews from people who watched 1-2 episodes, or only part of episode 1. I watched the whole season as it was released. I feel I can accurately opine now: it is a delight. Funny, dark, tense, muli-faceted, and charming, this series is well-acted, well-scored, beautiful to look at, and paced *gasp* like a television series, rather than like a bunch of little movies. Like it or don't, but a review predicated on half of episode one means less than nothing!
