Delivered brilliantly by Gervais with so much pathos, as a lonely man struggling to find meaning after the loss of his wife.
It had me in tears numerous times.
The rest of the cast are also great, and you come to care about all of them individually through the three series. And want them to be ok.
Penelope Wilton too is superb as the older woman he meets regularly on the cemetery bench, as they mourn the loss of their partners together. And support each other.
I enjoyed this SO much, and it will stay with me for a long time.
