This book is a portrayal of the writer's worldview of the Yoruba sociocultural milieu and setting. Amos Tutola stylistically wrote to project the environment in which he found himself at the time. His choice of language, his use of hyperbole, punctuations, and other idiosyncrasies is a reflection of his communal affiliations.
