The first two movies allowed the viewer to follow the story, with new twists being introduced at relevant times. This one was confusing, disjointed and raised more questions than it answered. For instance, did Maria have dementia or was she just messing around? Did the siblings intend to/actually return any of their father’s ashes to America? What was the point of Nick’s constant hair dying and disgusting body hair and nail trimming? And the subplot involving Paris, her failed studies and Aristotle was like a last minute addition that was given very cursory treatment. I have given it a third star because I expect it will improve on a second viewing, but it will sadly never have the appeal of the first or second movies.
