So far...I am on my last chapters so, maybe my stars will increase. I LOVE John Irving and have immersed myself in his other novels. The Last Chair Lift is a bit too full of obvious foreshadowing. But that's ok. His quirky characters are a bit over the top of the top (not a type-o). It's his War and Peace of a novel...a tad too long and filled with an array of characters (dead and alive, real and imagined). Well, maybe more than a tad. The voice overs and movie scripts do get carried away. But, like I said, I'm not done yet. I need to finish this novel. At times hard to pick up again without scanning back first!!! But I'll get there and report back. I hope.
