I have watched CBS evening news religiously since Walter Cronkite. Granted, I had to grit my teeth sometimes to get used to the new anchor but not very hard. CBS EVENING NEWS hads always had evening anchors who report calmly, with impartiality and in a manner that evokes viewer's trust. One week of Norah O'Donnell and I have already deleted CBS evening news from the DVR and am now watching ABC. Norah O'Donnell reports the news like a snarky high school "mean girl" talking trash about her "best friend". Her tone and voice inflection always seems to be in sneaky, backstabbing attack mode. She can't seem to simply report the news but always gets her personal opinion across by her wording and how she stresses certain words. CBS has definitely made a terrible mistake in the selection process for the evening anchor position and has lost a once loyal viewer.
