I HAD NO IDEA HOW BAD GREYHOUND WAS…AND WHAT’S SO SAD?! THEY DON’T CARE - AT ALL, NOT IN THE LEAST!
WHERE TO BEGIN?!
If anyone is considering Greyhound for a long, cross-country trip - DO NOT!!
If anyone is considering Greyhound for a trip but has time constraints or a schedule with limited flexibility - DO NOT!
If anyone is traveling with a disability (or someone else who is disabled) and considering Greyhound - DO NOT!
If anyone on a limited, fixed income/budget is considering Greyhound as a cost-saving way to travel - DO NOT!
If anyone is considering a trip with Greyhound and is expecting them to adhere to their travel policies and provide appropriate customer service - DO NOT!
If anyone is thinking that travel with Greyhound is a carefree option - DO NOT!
If anyone planning a trip and can afford to lose hundreds of dollars while traveling with Greyhound - DO SO!
If anyone traveling is able consider alternate travel options that do not include Greyhound - DO SO!
Here’s a partial explanation why the above questions should be entertained when considering Greyhound as a travel option:
I am a mobility-challenged single individual on a very limited disability income. I mistakenly thought traveling across country by bus would be a relaxing, less stressful mode of travel - an option to alleviate air travel delays, transfers and ridiculous fees for carry-ons, 2-hr wait airport times, shuttle schedules to/from airport terminals, etc. - NOT!
Long story, short: GREYHOUND REFUSES REFUND FOR TRIP INTERRUPTION THAT IN DID NOT INITIATE…
RESEARCH GREYHOUND BEFORE BOOKING YOUR TRIP ON GREYHOUND - I DID NOT AND AM NOW OUT OVER $400 (for a roundtrip seat I NEVER occupied).
RUN! RUN FAST! RUN FAR AWAY!
