I’Ve read this book about 40years ago and never forgot about it, and I now read it in French :Afin que nul ne meure. What a story, this writer was so good, he died at 93years old in 2001 I believe, I am now 85years old and I still take a great pleasure reading his books in French and in English. One (among so many) in French : Bois d’ébène was so good and also Noir sont les cheveux de ma bien aimé and so many more. Enjoy his books, I recommend them very highly.
