I got this game in 2012 and I continue to play it voraciously even though it's twelve years later. Obviously the steady stream of DLC expansion packs have been a huge momentum pusher towards returning to this game, but ultimately, there is no game that has replay value quite this fine-tuned and perfect. As a devout Christian now, who was an atheist when he got the game, the application of biblical and apocryphal reference in this game's subject matter has been of the uttermost fascination. The vulgarity of this game might put some people off, but I understand the nuance of the inspiration.
