Superior approach to a frequently addressed problem. Gerald May should win an award for this one.
This book is not overly religious. It does, however, hit the nail on the head while offering a perspective that is well-thought and deeply introspective.
The problem is discussed from a functional approach that is rational and logical. It investigates causes and solves the problem by yanking it out by its roots.
No such thing as merely arresting a symptom or putting a band-aid on a complex issue. Understanding what May is saying will solve addiction problems from the inside out. Would give the book more stars if I could.
