This book made me so miserable I had to stop reading it. There's really no upside to the story. I read about half of it and then quit.

I've just finished the book and I'll miss him.
Whether or not the portrayal is entirely believable remains to be seen but it was an entertaining read in a bleak sort of way. I wish there had been more lightness to it. It's a totally sad story.

Some of the programme is interesting but I can't see why information on deep sea coral reefs has anything to do with Spring in the UK. If the programme has run out of material they shouldn't resort to reporting on irrelavencies like this. Typical BBC.
