I will never forget watching this film as a middle school kid and instantly being captivated by the story, the characters, the rich writing and the beautiful Montana scenery. Growing up as a 5th generation Montana native with a minister as a father who was also a very skilled fly fishermen and out doors men, this movie is so close to my heart.A river Runs Through it knows exactly what it is, and never looses sight of that. The focus of this movie is story telling, the rich characters and the sweeping land scape of my beautiful montana home, all told against the soaring original score. The actors are all incredible fully fleshing out their characters and who's performances could not be improved upon. The Montana land scape is almost a character on its own. I love how this film highlights the artistry of fly fishing. It brings back so many memories of watching my father fly fish. Montana has always been so close to my heart. I feel myself identifying with paul as he say, " I will never leave Montana brother."This movie is like watching poetry in motion; it is a love song to Montana and a homage to the time of a past era. Do yourself a favor and watch this movie!
