I’m a fan of the author, but this book was a disappointment. It reads like a bad soap opera. Everything that could go wrong for nurse Frankie, did go wrong—horribly wrong. The constant misfortunes of the main character overshadow the heroic actions and legacy of Vietnam veterans/nurses.
