Having read the book series by LM Montgomery that this series is based on, I was hugely disappointed. The acting was great but the story is so far off from the books I feel more like I'm watching a political platform piece instead of a series adapted from the books I enjoyed. If you are looking to watch this solely for entertainment, then you will probably enjoy watching, but if you are looking for anything remotely resembling the 'Anne' stories written by LM Montgomery, you may be quite disappointed
