The vast locations and landscapes shown, are beautiful but still minor to that of the emotional twists of the relationships primarily between lovers, but also friends, countrymen, even individual retrospection. The English Patient has several moments that bring life's obstacles together with it's greatest joys all stemming from choices we make, or are fated to follow. It's a movie that can be viewed multiple times to appreciate the layers of all it has to offer.
