I found it didnt tackle the issues deep enough to be a really profound movie yet it wasn't lighthearted enough to be just plain fun. To me it just felt like a weird combination of the 2 that left me feeling bored and unimpressed. I felt no emotions towards it like others did. And in terms of the actual storyline, it just felt all over the place because they focused so much on getting the feminist messages about the patriarchy across that the cinematic plot wasn't actually good and lacked its own substance. I'm a huge barbie fan. I've always been a barbie girl, was obssesed with everything Barbie growing up so i guess what I really wanted from a live action Barbie movie was literally just a fun nostalgic comedy movie about Barbie. But this movie wasn't that at all. It was like let's use Barbie as an excuse to take a deep dive into feminism exept not too deep cause remember it's still Barbie so we have to keep it light and fun. I just found it weird. The movie just wasn't it for me.
