It's not at all like the original and it's not trying to be, it's closer to the graphic novel. And a little slow to start but once it picks up it's really damn good! With a great new twist style ending and a beginning where they explore the romance between Eric and Shelly more in depth and we get to see their relationship develope further, Shelly is a much more fleshed out character than in the original and the action sequences are quite brutal and entertaining. Actionwise it's tarantino level good. Very moody good cinematography soundtrack all around a great experience.

Great movie, absolutely brutal fantastic death scenes but terrible ending WHY can't the villain just win?!?!? Who is rooting for the cliche final girl bitch and the annoying Bratt kid?? Not me! Seriously pissed and annoyed art didn't finish these two fucking bratts off. Soft pussy ending.

I love this movie! Such a classic! Suspenseful Funny and with a tragic love story and a happy ending <3
