A true ode to the classic Metroid feel, even brings back a classic boss with updated challenges. The game mechanics create a truly unique playing experience, that is both fun and challenging. Only negative thing is that unlike previous entries, feels a bit more on rails than it should. While back exploration is still possible before the end of the game, it takes some effort to find ways around. It's clear whenyou find upgrades for not yet unlocked abilities that they make back exploration purposefully difficult. However, nothing beats the feeeling of the first time you successfully counter an EMMI.
