As a longtime reader of the books and a lover of the series, the show has the spirit of the show in mind with every decision made. The writing is so intricate and intelligent, that you have to watch multiple times to catch all the little easter eggs for fans of every age. Sam Reid is a treasure as Lestat, Jacob Anderson gives Louis so much dimension that it's hard not to love him, and Bailey Bass slays it as Claudia. If you're complaining its not like the book -- it's not meant to be. It's an homage. If it's not for you fine, go back to your books. 10/10 show. Can't wait for season 2.
