Excellent music, choreography, very good aesthetics, art direction and acting. Weak storyline. Overall a very enjoyable movie, a well executed musical.

Probably the best blockbuster of the year. Excellent gravitas and personality from Rajnikant, great dialogues, storylines, comedy, and action sequences. What more could a viewer ask for?

I'm with Rick on this one. One of the most intolerable and crass overacting infused movies of the decade. I wish didnt have to tolerate the unimaginative and cliched dialogue writing, the subtitles are miles better than the actual dialogues. Overall if i thought KJo count get more unrealistically melodramatic, he disproved that. Easily the worst preachy, and most unrealistic kJo movie ever. I found this movie totally boring snd unrelatable throughout and the character 'growth' was so forced and drastic, it was totally unbelievable. Dharmendra was the only bright spot, and Jaya Bacchan's worst performance ever, shocking, but more so because of the writing and direction.
