I think the problem is that the show is called Halo. It has the same characters as the game. It's supposed to be in the same universe as the game. But the writers and show runners ignored the game completely and made this show. You telling people to just play the game instead doesn't do anything. The show has no continuity to it because the people who made the show didn't play the games and said that they wouldn't play the games. They just got a basic character sheet of who's who and what's what, then just did whatever they wanted to do. The whole reason they made a halo show is to get people who played the games to watch. But now they've alienated the people who played the games by making this whole story not make sense and by making the characters completely different than how they were in the games.
