Metro 2033 is what happens when you take post-apocalyptic fear and mix it with creativity, you get a Russian nuclear apocalypse novel. A must read for, in my opinion, anybody.

Best fps singleplayer game I've ever played

Although the interaction between characters is somewhat minimal and goes nowhere, the book is worth buying if you'd like to see how america is in the metro universe.
