Audrey Craven

Quick and simple, this was odd. While I’m never opposed for artists/studios to use different medians to show their style, this was extremely out of place for Studio Ghibli. Would have been better for someone else. The story alone is very abrupt and leaves plot holes everywhere. Who are the 12 witches? Why did Earwigs mom leave (it wasn’t really clear.) Are we supposed to enjoy Earwigs character, she seems like a brat. With a character like Chihiro, even though she was bratty at the start, she grew with the story and the environment. Earwig though is just a manipulative kid? And don’t even get me started on the ending, brining in Earwigs mother and then BOOM DONE. What was that?? It didn’t leave me feeling suspenseful or hoping for more, it left me confused and done with it. I really wanted to enjoy it 😞😞
