I first thought: “another Pinocchio film?”. But first: It’s BEAUTIFUL. The technicality of the stop motion animation is classic yet advanced… watch the accompanying 30min documentary. 2nd, the voice cast delivers unbiased/objective yet heartwarming performance. 3rd, it’s not afraid to tackle difficult emotions and layers each puppet acting with so much depth in the facial expressions. It’s not a simple show. Lovely on the surface… MAGNIFICENT in its depth.
