This documentary is about more than murder of 17 year old Laquan McDonald by Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke. The actions found in 16 Shots is a blueprint that is followed by police departments across the nation to keep whites safe from integration, escape accountability and get away with subjugation and exploitation of Blacks in the 21st century. It shows the white supremacy the Department of Justice says it is seeking is found with their police partners.
This documentary shows what is in plan sight across the nation. The premeditated war on Blacks that is imitated in cities across the U.S. How the conspiracy to cover up these intentional crimes involves both cities and police departments. The open intimidation of the victims and witnesses to these
crimes. The large amount of city resources being used against a vulnerable minority group. The excessive force to make sure that the truth is never heard or known.
The Chicago Police Department (CPD) spoon fed the media a false narrative that wasn’t close to the truth about the death of McDonald. The media licked the bowl. This hightlights the unfair weight and airtime the media gives to the words from the police compared with the story from the victim. We live in a Twitter, YouTube and Facebook world where the media waits for your victimization to go “viral” before they report your story. This creates the perfect conditions for the continued exploitation, humiliation and victimization of the members of the Black community in America.
The murder of this young man was a Hate Crime. He could have been my child. It is shocking to hear the police union head, Dean Angelo, talk about how police need to go after the “monster” that doesn’t belong on street with “you, your daughter or wife.” I consider Angelo the monster and those that believe as he does. He doesn’t belong on the street with me. We someone’s daughter’s and wives. We are Americans and deserve protection under the Constitution, state and local laws. His words show premeditation.
Blacks across the US know what it is like to be frequently selectively targeted by the police to prove they belong in America while doing normal activities. Blacks know about the fabrications, the lost jobs, the high cost for each bogus charge and the few options to get help. We know how the continuation of this treatment dooms our next generation to the same hell. We know we need the DOJ to hold the police accountable.
