Brilliant series on a really difficult issue - family violence. So appreciated the portrayal of diversity, young, old and culturally diverse women all facing situations in which they are incredibly vulnerable. The portrayal of the Chinese woman and the linguistic barriers to representing her story and achieving justice was particularly gut-wrenching and important - without being cliched and making her into a complete victim. All these women are seeking control and agency over their lives and the show delivered a nuanced portrayal of their journeys and how they try to have agency but struggle to find a safe home. Really a great Aussie drama - perhaps only could have been made in collaboration with SBS.
