Gqetseyi Madiba

This is my second favourite animated film after Across the Spiderverse. The voice cast was just perfect in every single way. The story is well told and the message is very simple and straight forward, "Think for yourself and make up your own mind". We are constantly inundated with people trying to recruite us to hate what they hate or love what they love. Most of these people strip us of our agency from a very young age. I love his this film pushes one simple agenda; "Make Up You Own Mind". I get unaliving undertones being tough to swallow but it's done in a way that isn't grossly overt. If anything, it builds up to a crescendo like most people with mental health issues trying their best to fight against the constant barrage of internal torment often triggered by external situations. What's most important though is that they remind us that it's also up to said people to reach out for help and maintain social relationships because at one point or another, someone will be there to show them they aren't alone and to make a better choice. LGBTQIA+ themes are perfectly done and tasteful. I watched it twice back to back because of how good it is. I cannot sing the praises of the voice cast enough. Chloe Grace Moretz is truly a special talent.

Absolutely fantastic show. It's marginally inferior to the Discovery reboot but I'm not shocked at all that it has better reviews. Of course a lead that looks like them would get better reviews 🤣. They are so transparent in their prejudices despite Star Trek being entirely built on the idea of inclusivity a future where everyone is entirely valid and equal. Anyway, I loved the show. The tech, the FX and the acting is decent but it's honestly inferior to Discovery but it has far better reviews because certains cannot fathom a future world in which all genders, sexualities and races are absolutely equal. There is something a little dissatisfactory hence the 4 not 5 stars and why I consider is inferior to Discovery as of yet. There's nothing they will say that would make me believe this is a better show than Discovery just yet. I know for a fact that the basic prejudices of the 21st century are still ringing in their ears when they reviewed Discovery.

Love it. I grew up on the show and honestly the fuss for many purists is that the people that look and pee like them are no longer the centre of attention. But alas, it means more to them to consume Star Wars on their terms than what it was actually meant to do. They talk about wokism and all that pedestrian dog whistling but they ignore the very principles of a future Earth free from archaic beliefs and relations with others. It obviously does not match up to the original, what reboot ever does? 🙄. But this is really well done with an interesting emphasis on the exploration of human emotion and duty. Perhaps it's because I'm in the mental health field but it's really good to see emotions expressed in Sci Fi. Ignore the silly bad review bombers, they are sad little people who can suspend disbelief until their prejudices are challenged. And yes, they'll try to rope you in with "logic". But humans are terribly efficient at faking "logic". Take all these reviews including mine with a grain of salt and just watch the show for yourself. Season 3 is my favourite season so far and 4 is a close second.
