So.. hmm where to begin. So I think this is much better than “After” in terms of sticking to the book and the characters and certain words and sentences from the book. I think it really sucks that they make Trevor such a main interest to Tessa when that is totally wrong she does like her but it never goes any further than just that. I would’ve like to see more involvement with the Zed because he was a huge issue in “After We Collided,” and with Hardin and Tessa and why they fight constantly in the book. I think the biggest issue that I seem to have, and I have to agree with a lot of the other people when they say a lot of the more important scenes just feel so rushed, and chronologically they just don’t match up. Like when Tessa and Hardin go ice-skating because it’s for her birthday no we all know if they go ice-skating after he’s trying to get back with her and that’s not until like the middle of the book. I just feel like they kind of started the movie in the middle of the book. I’m very interested to see what the next movie is going to be like because that’s the longest book and I feel like that has so much important stuff that needs to be in there. I however do love hero and Josephine‘s chemistry and I think they make an amazing Tessa and Hardin, and I love that Shane as Landon. The few parts that I was hoping to God they put in there, they did the ice-skating, hardins mother being there, Hardin getting the tattoo, Tessa meeting her dad. However, another huge part of that book was when he got into the fight with Zed in the environmental science building and that wasn’t even a thing in there which kind of is a big deal. Oh, and another thing Hardin and his mother don’t act like that really, and he gets pissed when he finds out that Tessa is going to Seattle, and they made that part not that big of a deal. Hardin is definitely more Hardin in this movie than in the first one which I am happy about. Overall, I do like the movie I understand with time constraints they couldn’t put every single detail in, and the details that I did want and hope for, they did put in. I’m honestly already counting down the days until the next two movies. I am most excited for “After Ever Happy” that book brought me to tears and if you’ve read it you know why.
